MULTI-SPORT SUMMER DAY CAMPS

Grades 2 to 4

Offered in English

A program for campers looking to be active all week and learn a lot of new skills!

Being a current sports champion is not required!

Get ready to run and move! This active program exposes our campers to a wide variety of new sports to help develop skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, sportsmanship, leadership and so much more. During this week, campers will learn rules and strategies related to all types of sports and games. They will compete in fun tournaments and skill competitions, focusing on fundamentals and fair play creating a great foundation for any future sports they might choose to play!

What do we do at camp?

Each week campers will participate in two tournaments in two different sports. Campers will learn the rules of these sports, participate in drills, acquire proper technique, and learn about strategy. They will then be divided into teams and play games throughout the week. In addition to the two focus sports, campers will also learn about and get the chance to play other sports throughout the week.

Each week our focus sports will change, so that campers returning multiple weeks, will get to learn many different skills across a variety of sports throughout the summer!

Want to get a better look of a week at our sports camp? Check out our week-at-a-glance here.

Why CampT?

If you’re looking to boost your child’s leadership skills or teamwork and sportsmanship, our multi-sports camp is the perfect fit for you! Our campers will take home many skills from their time with us! Not only will they learn sports related techniques such as aiming and coordination, but also real value interpersonal skills that are learned through these sports.

And of course how could we forget stating the most obvious benefit of this camp, which is to be outside, making new friends while being active and having lots of fun all week!

About CampT Multi-sports Staff

Our coaches are university and high school student athletes, who have grown up playing sports. They will be trained in all sports being covered in our multi-sport program by our veteran camp director. Each campus will have a head coach, who will be incharge of the multi-sports program and will be supported by the site-supervisor who is on-site at all times, as well as by our senior office staff and camp director who will visit regularly.

FAQ

Our Multi-sport camp is offered from 9-4 Monday through Friday. Extended care is offered from 8-9 and 4-5 for an additional fee.

This is an active-outdoor camp. Please bring comfortable clothes your child can move in as well as closed toe running shoes. Each location does have an indoor space available for our campers, however we will be spending most of our time outside, so please make sure each child packs sunscreen and bug spray in their bags. Furthermore we suggest sending them a change of clothes and rainwear everyday as we plan to be outside, rain or shine (unless the amount of rain is unsafe for campers).

Campers should also bring a litterless, peanut free lunch each day and a morning and afternoon snack. Campers will also need to bring a refillable water bottle to camp, as we have water filling stations on site.

Please note this is an outdoor program and that as much as possible campers will be playing activities outside. In case of extreme heat or unsafe amounts of rain, each location does have an indoor space that campers can use. During these periods the schedule could be modified to include more of our non-sport games and activities that can be easily played inside. For prolonged periods of rain, our staff might go through the strategy and skill portion of the curriculum with the campers.

We do not offer single-day or half-week pricing. Each week of camp must be paid for in full.

Unfortunately there will be no credits or refunds given in the case of illnesses or an outbreak at camp. Parents may choose to register at their own risk.

If you choose to keep your child home because of an outbreak at camp there will be no credits or refunds given . If your child has tested positive for Covid or a related illness, our medical emergency policy will apply. To negate the risk of an outbreak, please do not send your child to camp if they are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or other illness.

Day camps cancellations:

  • There will be an administration fee of $40.00 (plus HST) PER week per camper withheld on all refunds.
  • Refunds for the registration fees are ONLY issued for cancellations submitted 30 days prior to the beginning of camp. Any client-requested cancellations less than 30 days before the start of camp, will unfortunately not be eligible for refunds.

Program Options:

  • Refunds for pizza, extended care or busing service are ONLY available more than 7 days prior to the beginning of camp.
  • Extended care and/or busing and/or pizza cancellations within the accepted period WILL incur a $5 administration fee unless the cancellation is done at the same time as the registration.

Change of week or programs:

  • Up to 30 days before the first day of camp, you may switch the week you are registered for at no charge, as long as there is space in the program.
  • ONLY one free “week-switch” will be offered.
  • Any subsequent requests for a change will incur a $20 administration fee.
  • In cases where the “week-switch” involves the short week, where the fee of the new week is less than the original week, an administration fee of $10 plus HST will apply.

Medical emergency:

  • In the event that a family must cancel due to medical reasons prior to the first day of camp, a credit note may be offered with a doctor’s note.  Only a credit note for future programs and for the registration fee is available. Please note that unfortunately, requests for credit notes for partial weeks can not be considered or issued. Campers who attend the program for any length of time can not receive compensation for time missed for any reason.

Although we benefit from a very high approval rate from the families who choose our camps, we make no guarantees that every child will appreciate our efforts. Therefore, in the unlikely event that a child is unhappy with our Camp Program, a refund will NOT be provided.

We will adhere strictly to the safety guidelines issued by the Ministry of Ontario and will require our hosts to do so as well. Click here for more information
